Just had a quick look around re Outlook and COM (Quickest way I've
found to check out a partiuclar server is searchfor "<server name>
vbScript".

Yes, in pricniple you can do stuff like described here

  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q168095/
  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/q167240/

but if you really want to do something as complex as Forms, I'd stick
to vbScript. E.g. from:

  http://www.outlookcode.com/d/vbscript.htm

"Versions (of vbScript) earlier than 2.0 do not support
intrinsic VB constants or the Split() and Join() functions that
make it extremely easy work with Outlook's Categories property."

Intrinsic VB constants can't be supported in my plugin -- well, they
could be, but very tedious to do -- and of course no split() or join().

In general I'd do the fancy stuff in vbs, and keep COM plugin for
accessing relatively simple properties/methods. Compared to
VB/VBA/vbScript, plugin syntax is necessarily clumsy and error-prone.
