Hello tempUser, Your code looks OK. There seems to be more than one fault in miscplugin.dim() which stop your script from working. Or maybe they are not faults, just designed to work that way on purpose.
One problem is that the script stops being processed until the dim is cancelled. So your For loop is not looping. For evidence of that, try: @DimScreen local _dim_value local counter = 0 for (_dim_value=1; _dim_value<200; _dim_value=_dim_value+40) MiscPlugin.Dim(1, _dim_value, 4) counter = counter + 1 win.debug(counter,_dim_value) endfor quit Notice I added a third parameter "4" so you need to cancel the dim using a hotkey with command: miscplugin.dim(0). That must be a hotkey, not in the Tiny Run Box because the run box stops working during a dim! When you run the above script, the screen dims by one more increment every time you click the hotkey. If you make the debug window OnTop, you can see that the for loop only does one more cycle each time you click the hotkey for dim(0). I experimented with that third parameter "4" to see if it would help but it doesn't. When I try your script without the 4, each time I move the mouse the screen goes bright briefly then executes only one cycle of the For loop, going one step dimmer each time; that's the same result as my dim(0) hotkey. Even if you could work around that problem of the script pausing during a dim, you still have the other problem that a command like MiscPlugin.Dim(1, 128) is ignored when a MiscPlugin.Dim(1, 64) is current, until the first dim(1,64) is removed. Unfortunately that means you must include a dim(0) between each dim(1,n) so you would get a flash of bright screen in every cycle. t> Sometimes after executing MiscPlugin.Dim(1,128,4) from command box t> and next MiscPlugin.Dim(0) - screen don't undimms. Anyone can t> confirm this bug? I confirm that. Actually, the run box doesn't work for ANY command during a MiscPlugin.Dim - try running notepad. A slow fade might be a nice effect but I don't think it's possible using miscplugin.dim() -- unless the plugin is changed. Maybe there is a screen saver which does a gradual dim? I've never looked for freeware screen savers on the www but there must be many. Attention: PowerPro's Web site has moved: http://www.ppro.org Yahoo!
