Now, I remember why I've used skins at the first place. I wanted to use
a fixed-sized bar (200x150) to get the background non-tiled, so actually
I was gonna use a skin with two overlapping buttons using fixed
positions, one for the image, one for the action. The idea got forgotten
during my brainstorming.

You know what, I've done some timing-tests, and convert.exe wasn't that
bad at all, *really* close to Irfanview for bigger, more colorful
windows, but way behind IrfanView for smaller, text-only windows. The
problem is, many ppl have IrfanView but not ImageMagick. Although the
licence allows me redistribute it with proper attributions, convert is
not small even compressed with upx (the static version) and I don't want
to upload it into the files section, since we're really getting out of
space.

I was thinking about the drop shadows myself. It can be done with
convert.exe and I could use 2 images, a big one for the whole bar and a
smaller one for the button to simulate the effect.. I have to try it yet.

Thanks,
