It isn't clear to me what is the benefit of maintaining .ini format 
compatibility...
... that aside, since our .ini files are meant to be read by PowerPro, perhaps 
you could add an option to 
parse not parse \ as line continuation:
cl.import configure.importCL and pproconf dialog(s)
