"*Window Position hmax active" works "*Window Position wmax active" works also i guess Murphy had the same missunderstanding of the doucmentation like me. I thought you would have to replace hmax or wmax for the according parameter of the *window position command. For exmaple: "*Window Position = = = hmax active". But i checked the documentation again and it says definitly: "you can replace the FOUR (!) numbers by center (to center), wmax to maximize width, or hmax to maximize height." @kotami: thank you very much
