This is not easy. There are two problems: first, it's probably
unreliable to use middle wheel as a hot key because it will
interfere with normal use of the wheel. Second, there is no way I
know of to find out the current transparency setting of a window.
Unless you are willing to implement this on your own, the best you can
do is reset the transparency to whatever value is input. (If you
wanted to implement transparency memory, one approach would be a hash
table keyed by the window handle and storing the transparency value
each time you set it).
You could do it this way:
create a single-button bar with position in the caption. If you want,
you can make it autohide and shown by a hot key, or you can have it
always visible.
Use *control slider 0 0 255 as the bar button's label; this is a
slider control
Use the command win.trans(cl.getctrlvalue("barname",0)) as the left
command on the slider button to set the transparency based on the last
position of the slider.
Note that the initial position of the slider will _not_ represent the
current transparency state unless you implement the memory and
initialize the slider with cl.setctrlvalue when the bar is shown.
