as stupid as it sounds.. well.. it was stupid.. sort of.. both, the laptop and the screen at home have a much smaller size than the office screen. guess what.. I placed teh ARB window in the lower right corner. with the bigger screen in the office, itr always came up fine. with the smaller screens it came up too, but not on the visible areas of the home and laptop screen. I figured it out because I had to reinstall my laptop. :-( thanks anyway dan
