Hello,

PowerTOP 1.13 was running nice on my Debian Squeeze amd64 install.

After install the 2.6.38 backported kernel, it gives me segfault after
displaying the first results (after 5s recording).

Is there anyway to get it working, or am I doomed to wait for the 2.00?

I tried to compile from
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/status/powertop/powertop.git

but it won’t, because I don’t have the right libnl version available?

root@NAS2:/home/powertop/powertop# dpkg --get-selections | grep libnl
libnl-dev install
libnl1 install
libnl2 install

root@NAS2:/home/powertop/powertop# apt-cache search libnl
libnl-dev - development library and headers for libnl
libnl-doc - API documentation for libnl
libnl1 - library for dealing with netlink sockets
libnl2-dbg - debug symbols for libnl2
libnl2-dev - development library and headers for libnl2
libnl2-doc - API documentation for libnl2
libnl2 - library for dealing with netlink sockets

Can I compile from git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/status/powertop/powertop.git or
should I wait for 2.00?

Haven’t tried the 1.97 that’s available in Debian Wheezy yet today, but last
time on Wheezy it was a bit flaky.

Thanks,

Valentijn
