Hi Ettore,
     This request has come up in various ways in the past. PowerTop is 
intended to give an ongoing look at power effects in real time, much 
like the "TOP" program accomplishes with process activity and such. The 
tunables section is intended to allow you to adjust real time to see 
"what" effects various tuning options would have. It is highly suggested 
that you use any data you find, and work with your distribution in 
making any enhancements long term. You seem to be doing the correct and 
currently suggested action by using the information available to you 
from PowerTop, to customize your personal system and setup to suite you.

      At this time, there is no plan to extend PowerTop with features 
for long term tuning support. The features being work on for PowerTop at 
this time will be focused on realtime power analysis.
