I agree. Plus the 1400c(cs) has a larger screen at 11.3" plus a higher
resolution at 600x800 (compared to the 5300c which is 640x480).

Also, more often than not, they come with the built-in CD-ROM drive which
can be sleep swapped with the floppy drive.

The AC connector is more durable, the keyboard feels much better, it's G3
upgradable and overall it's much sturdier. Oh and the trackpad is tapable as
well as a number of other minor items that make it a better machine overall.

Did I mention the BookCover lid is cool for easily customizing the 1400??!!
