Hi! I've been lurking for a few weeks, and I have a question I want to get
out of my hair... My PB170 AC adapter (model M5140) is kinda flaky; trying
to access the floppy drive causes the screen to blink out, and it can't boot
from a floppy. A second adapter worked fine, so I'm pretty sure the
adapter's just not providing enough voltage. Sure enough, taking a
multimeter to it showed that the flaky adapter dips down to about 2.5-2.7V
when the PB is on, vs. 2.6-2.9V for the good adapter.

SO, my question is: Is there something I can do with the AC adapter to
adjust the output voltage (like with a compact mac?) I'm not afraid to open
it up, I just can't figure out how...
