I don't know of the LCD is a special plastic or not. You can obtain
what is called a Micromesh kit from Sporty's. They have a series of
catlogs and I last saw the micromesh kit in their aviation catalog. It
provides you with a series of progressively finer grit pads and
instructions on how to work out scratches in plastic. Pretty cool.
