The 3400 will take 9.5, 12.5, and 17mm drives. The physical size of the drive
is irrelevant in this situation..
The problem is that the screw holes are in the wrong place, as the 3400
was designed around the earlier drive spec format.
My recommendation is to drill the right holes in the right place, to
mount it yourself. Or, an even easier route is to set the drive in, then tape
it in place, or even better, use peanuts (shippping peanuts) to keep it
pressed in. Sure you can call me a goober, but believe it or not, that will
offer BETTER shock protection than having it screwed in!

Thanks,
David Wegener
