Damn that really sucks.
Maybe the people on this list can help you replace any obscure software you might have lost. Hopefully it was all backed up. But it's like having your car dented: even if you're not at fault, even if you pay no deductible, it's a huge outlay of time, to replace everything. That's too bad. Is there any way to trace the source of this email? It was posted here, there must be a record of it on a server somewhere. It's worth some time I think, to try to track the culprit down.
