Donna,

Check Apple Spec for limits of memory for computers.

The 190 is the same physical shape of the 5300 but the mother boards are different.

The 190 board is designed for 32 MB. max memory module and has either 4 mb or 8 MB on 
the mother board.

The 5300 is limited to 64 MB ram total with 8 or 16 on the mother board, so max 
expansion module is 56 MB.

It has nothing to do with addressing ranges, just the design of the logic boards.
