I've used VPC 3 on both a 6500/225 (603e) and a Starmax 4000/200mhz (604e). On the 6500 it's barely usable and on the Starmax it's actually not bad at all. I did, however, add a Voodoo3 which helps a ton with graphics. You obviously won't be able to do that with a Powerbook.
