Hi list,

The gear:

PB 1400c, 133mhz, 48mb, 1.2gb, OS 8.6, GlobalVillge Fax/Modem card, 128mb
SanDisk CF card.

Here's the ticket:

1) Important: Put it in the top slot, not the bottom. Put any otherCard in
   the bottom.
2) Format it as a Mac disk and name it (I call mine CF Drive).
3) Go to the Memory Control Panel and choose it as the VRAM, set 120mb max
4) Restart
5) Check "About this computer" in the Apple menu

You should see Virtual Ram at 116mb available in your new volume name, and
the card will no longer eject on startup (that was frustrating).

BTW, 1gb flash cards and PC cards are now available, plus, up to 512mb Ultra
Compact Flash cards with incredibly fast transfer rates of 2.8mb/s, but
those large capacities are a bit lofty pricewise (the 1gb cards are $800
US!)

Best regards,
Ken N.
