Lucky for me I keep everything, so have a > Farallon card. But it was a BIG surprise; I figured it would "just work". The reason I went for a Farallon card is that it has drivers for Mac OS, Newton and Windows; at the time I still had a (crappy, or course ;) Fujitsu/Siemens notebook from work, and since my cable modem connection was tied to the Ethernet hardware address, I needed a card that would work in all of my computers. The Farallon card works like a charm on all those platforms. > I'd like to find a non-dongle card for the 1400 though. Farallon's card is pretty much "non-dongle", it just uses a different lead from the card, since an RJ45 plug wouldn't fit on a Type II PC-card. The only "real" non-dongle cards I know of are the Xircom RealPort Ethernet cards, but those are strictly Windows-only. ,xtG .tsooJ -- Joost van de Griek http://www.jvdg.net/ -- PowerBooks is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
