MkLinux should work on most PowerPC Macs, though I'm not sure about
the G4's. For a few years, MkLinux was the only *n*x which ran on the
NuBus PPC Macs. Though, in the last year or two, the monolithic
kernels have been able to run on most of the NuBus PPC Macs, too. The
MkLinux web site (www.mklinux.org) has seen very few updates in the
last couple of years, but the mailing list
(http://www.mklinux.org/mailinglists.html) is still active.
