Aint that the truth. I have a PB540C at work, and we got in an old Gateway Color book to see if we could ressurect it...The PB540 has 36 megs (readily upgradeable, I bought the RAM when I got the machine a year ago) and runs OS8.1, Netscape, Word Perfect, connects to our network, etc quite happily. The Gateway, which was made, amazingly enough, the same month and year, isn't upgradeable, has a teensy hard drive, the floppy broke, and has no way of re-installing Windows.
