I just got rid of a 520c and a 540c. They're '040 machines which means -- with some decent RAM -- you can run OS 8.1 on them. The best version of Word for the both of them is 5.1 or 5.1a. NS 4.08 is about the best version or at least the last version that will run on it but as pointed out before, iCab has a new 68k release. I'm not a FMP user -- it's on the list -- but neither pbook should have any trouble with an early version. They will run *any* version of Quark and up to PhotoShop 4.0.1, But you probably knew that.
