Victoria & Jim,
Attempted w/o the jumper and it gives my a bus error bomb when trying to use
the floppy HD Setup.    I can't discern any sounds coming from the drive
although it may just be very quiet.  I hope.   Problem now is, it won't let
me boot from the cd drive either.  Maybe the jumper on the drive was
termination?  All I get now is the flashing '?'

So depending on what I find out tomorrow, I may need to find someone locally
with a slightly newer pbook so as to format it.  Will know more tomorrow.

So I take it there is no cuda switch on these?
