er, the 2400 was primarily made for the Japanese market, in fact, i think the Japanese keyboard was standard... most examples you'll find in the US will probably have been converted to a roman keyboard. finding a localised version (which I assume means roman and hiragana labelled keyboard) in Japan shouldn't be too hard.
you will pay dealy for it though, the PB2400 is the ultimate cult Mac in Japan (though they take their Colour Classics and other Compacts very seriously aswell)... add that popularity to typical Japanese inflation an a second hand iBook will probably seem quite cheap. i think MacOSX has Japanese support built right in... i know i was able to switch everything round once. switching languages in OS9 is easy enough if you install the right kits when installing the OS, I'm pretty sure they come with the MacOS9 CD.
