Actually, the orinoco is 16 bit I believe, I've used it in the past with a 2400, non cardbussed, and airport software...there is a known issue with using the 1400 that this current software supposedly corrected...I get a signal to the base station, but can't seen to access the internet or my tibook which is on the network...
