Although I haven't had any experience with the 1400's screens, I can
tell you that going from a passive matrix to active matrix on the Duos
is like night and day. Once you use an active matrix LCD you can't go
back to passive ;)

As for sharpness, if anything it's sharper. Sometimes a little too sharp
as text and such looks a bit more jaggy ;)

Subject: 1400cs vs 1400c screens

I thought I posted this already, but it hasn't shown up on the list, so
here
goes:

Those of you who have swapped a passive 1400 screen for an active one,
is the difference that radical?

Is the 1400c screen as sharp as a typical small desktop monitor?

Any suggestions for sources for the 1400c screen other than eBay?

Thanks,
Spence
