I recently acquired my first color powerbook: 1400c/133/64/1G/8.5.1. Any favorites or benefits in compatibility, speed and/or ram upgrading to 8.6 (a consultant I spoke with preferred 8.5.1 and 9.1+ due to less software bugs than 8.6) or maybe taking it down to 8.1?
I run Photoshop6, AOL5 w/GV 56k card (have an uninstalled Linksys Combo Ethernet card model EC2T for when I look into DSL shortly), Opera5, Netscape4.79, BBedit Lt6, Word98 (but have 2001), FMP4, Acrobat4, some emulated game favorites, inits, tools and other minor apps (with 8.1, I'd loose my dock and appearance themes and sounds; with 8.6 or 9.1 I'd get itunes).
