Yes, the tappable trackpad (as discussed earlier last week) is the 
same part for the entire 190/2300/1400/2400/3400/G3 line.  However, 
the data cable that connects the trackpad to the logic board is 
different for the 190 series...  The connector on the 190/5300 logic 
board will not accept the cable from a 1400, and the trackpad from a 
1400 will not accept the cable of a 5300...

So, the only solution is to find a 190 w/ tappable trackpad and cable 
included, or, similarly, a cable from a 190 and trackpad from any of 
the above machines.

IMHO, it's easier just to pick up an entire assembled palm 
rest/trackpad/button from a 190 and install that in the 5300.
