The device is called an Apple Presentation System. My box has the numbers: 602-1236-A and M2895LL/A. They work great, but if you have a non-Apple video card in your 1400, you can't have 2 RAM modules stacked in the 3rd party memory slot . A single module is fine and the Apple 4 or 8 Meg module can use its slot. (The 16 Bit NewerTech cards are bigger than the 8 bit Apple cards.) I got mine through the LEM Swap list. I can't find it listed in the "Apple Store" , so it may not be available new anymore.
