To complete what has been said, to operate at full speed, all your
equipments (hub, switch, routers, cards) have to be 100BT compatible.
My 6500/G3 is equipped with a farallon 10/100BT and is setted to automatic
recognizing speed so that i don't have to change it anytime i change
network.
If there is an element that is 10BT only then all the network negociate at
100BT.
You can always force your card to be 100BT in the appropriate control panel
(Farallon in the case of 6500)
