-- I had a 520c and found that 7.6.1 was the best combination of speed, stability and efficiency. Max RAM would be 36mb - eBay would be your best option as new memory costs a fortune. I'd have thought that older versions of GoLive would struggle to understand newer HTML, especially as GoLive has never been known for writing tidy code. You'd have to try it to find out I think. As long as you stick to software of a similar age you should find your 540c a reasonable machine, it's certainly one of the best looking PowerBooks that was ever produced.
