Finding a retail version of 8.6 will be rare. Most "8.6" non-OEM disks
are only the $20 Upgrade CDs (which need either a 8.5 or 8.5.1 OS to
install on top of).

Much more common is that 8.5 and 8.5.1 (rare) were released in retail
flavor, with many 8.5.1 boxes having a "free 8.6 Update" sticker on the
box.

The problem with that method is that 8.6 is a 30MB download.
Worthwhile, but any healthy install of 8.5.1 is still good software.
