Finding a retail version of 8.6 will be rare. Most "8.6" non-OEM disks are only the $20 Upgrade CDs (which need either a 8.5 or 8.5.1 OS to install on top of). Much more common is that 8.5 and 8.5.1 (rare) were released in retail flavor, with many 8.5.1 boxes having a "free 8.6 Update" sticker on the box.
