There's no free downloads to upgrade that much. You'll need to buy an OS 9 CD and then you could download a free upgrade to 9.1 which is as far as a 3400 can go. Some here prefer 8.6 on a 3400. I've got 9.1 on mine and it's very stable and responsive. Just have to weed out the garbage in the Extensions folder, same with 8.6.
