You are probably right. DiskWarrior should be able to repair this. That's what it specializes in. Can you get a hold of a copy from somebody you know to fix it.
Afterwards, make sure you have blessed your System as well. This is sometimes easily forgotten after an install and can lead to the problems you are having.
If the corruption has progressed beyond DW's capability, you might need to reinstall your System Folder. Just make sure to Bless it afterwards. (Drag System file to desktop and then put back).
