Internet will be slow anyway on that old machine, especially with only 16MB
of real RAM. You can speed the things up a bit by using Netscape 4.08 or
iCab instead of IE. If you really want speed, try Netscape 2 which is very
fast on a 520 but unfortunately not compatible with most of web pages.
For email, Eudora Light 3 is the way to go : free, fast, convenient...
Concerning Office, I would not go above word 5 and excel 4 on that machine
(though Iīve never tried Office 98 on my 520, itīs maybe not too bad).
And I think that downgrading your OS to 7.6.1 or even 7.1 would give some
more fresh air to your powerbook (except if you have a PowerPC card
installed).
