New to list.
Just got a 1400/166 that is great except for one problem.
When it first arrived, pushing the on/off button resulted only in a slow tick from the speaker.
Pushing the reset button started it right up.
A couple more tries and the slow tick has been replaced with silence and a reset is still needed.
The computer will not respond to any keys including on/off to wake from sleep but reset wakes it up.
When the comp is running, pressing the on/off which should bring up the Shutdown dialog, does nothing.
The comp runs perfect in all other ways.
I thought it might be just the physical key but the original tick rules that out.
I suspected the Pram battery, but there are no other symptoms I know of. Maybe there doesn't need to be.
Plugged into AC or Battery same results.
Anybody have any suggestions?
