Been there, done that. The only thing I didn't do was that fancy "short circuit" procedure that Apple (!) recommends for installing an internal HDD bigger than 4 Gig. I will get by with an external SCSI setup - gosh, everything works faster than it did when the IDE bus was 'healthy' (No, I don't remember the article # for Apple, but it sure is weird.) Best George
