I would like to thank everyone who sent me info on using the compact flash and smart media cards in a Powerbook 1400.
I found them priced for as little as $3.00 and up. If any one is intrested, i desided to purchase them from Walmart because of their return policy. Here is what they cost. Viking SSFDC/ADAPT (Smart Media Adaptor) $27.92 Viking CF128M 128 MB CompactFlash Card for $32.87 Viking CF-ADAPT (Compact Flash Adaptor) for$18.98 I dont know if one brand is better than another, but with the return policy, I dont think I will go wrong. I have an old Richo digital camera that takes Smart Media cards, so I have plenty for now. As a side note, beside modems, ethernet and the above cards, what else are the readers of this list using in their PCMCIA slot? What have you found handy. I take my powerbook to work. The primary use my co-workers use there laptops for is to play microsoft solitare. They still think the mac is a toy. -- PowerBooks is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
