If the battery is dead or nearly so, the 165c won't boot even from the PS. Pull the batt and see if that works.

I got a a pb165c that was running ok up until last night. Something strange happened I tried to boot it from the battery and it struggled like there wasn't enough juice in the battery, it basically made some strange electrical noises and then shut off. When I hooked it back up to the power supply I had a hard time getting it to come on, it would chime then shut back off. When it finnaly did boot the screen wouldn't come on. It was like the contrast was turned all the way up, it was basicly black with the back light on. The contrast button didn't seem to work. The brightness would go up and down but no effect from the contrast slider. Is it totally dead or could I possibly revive it.
