I've found the Palm Mac serial adapter does a dandy job of connecting 
PC-style DB9F cable ends to a Mac serial port. They're widely available 
for under $5, try eBay for starters.

If you already have the PC cord that may be your best bet hardware-wise. 
Else as others have mentioned a DB25serial--Mac serial cable (sold as a 
Mac modem cable) should do the trick. You don't mention what port the 
radio has but obviously I've assumed DB25.

I have no idea what you do with the hardware once you've rigged it up 
though.

<G> I sure hope you didn't fry anything, as you're now no doubt aware Mac 
SCSI doesn't attach to PC serial. :-O
