Hello Howard: My 540's have 19.2 internal modems, one from Apple, one from GV, there were a few other makes. I believe that GV also made faster modems for PB 5X0s as there are Mercury (mine), Silver, and Gold models of the GV PowerPort modems for PB 5X0s.
