I showed my buddy what all I got with the 3400 and he recognised the automtive PowerBook adapter and said that the one that came with his 5300 was identical.
That's not likely.
The 5300 and 3400 have physically different (not just electrically different) power receptacles. A car adapter for the 3400 cannot fit a 5300.
