What browser are you using? With IE, it just isn't worth it because for every graphic or popup that tries to access something on the blacklist, IE throws an error dialog that says, in effect (I don't remember the exact words), "Host not found". I'm pretty sure Netscape did that too, but I've not used recent versions because the 4.x ones were so bad.
