I think there are adapters out there, but they are expensive, far too much so.  I'm 
sure you can get your hands on an old ADB printer for cheap on ebay or the swap list, 
or, yes, you can ehternet it to your iMac.  I run OS 9 on my 1400, and it works 
flawlessly, but I don't know how easy it is with earlier OS's.  perhaps you may have 
to boot up in Classic if your iMac is on OS X.
