Have any of you heard this one? I put OS 8.6 on my PB 1400, and now I can no longer print to my LaserWriter Select 310. I keep getting the error that Print Monitor needs more memory. I gave it more memory than the files I have tried to print, but still get the error. I even tried putting an old version of PM to work, but still get the same error. I cannot even print a one page simple text document! I even tried to print this message and this is what I get:
There is not enough memory to print "Powerbooks, 6:04 PM 2/23/04 -0600, Printing problem" from "Eudora" on printer "LaserWriter Select 310". Do you want PrintMonitor to adjust its memory size and try again?
No matter how many times I click on OK, I still get the message. I give PM 10 megs of RAM and still get the message. I added 5 megs of RAM to the System heap, and still get the message. What gives?
The Select 310 is the poor step-child of all the LaserWriters. It requires it's own driver, and isn't compatible past OS8.0 (maybe 8.1). I had a similar experience with one when I upgraded to OS9 from OS8 and couldn't print.
