Thanks for responses to:

First: I've tried pulling the battery and resetting the PRAM.  No go.

Second:  The screen seem perfectly black when computer is on.

Third:  I cannot shut the PB down w/power key.  Won't shut down unless I
pull the battery or unplug the AC adapter.

I've even tried connecting a monitor to it.  Nothing.
