I have a VST Zip drive for the powerbook 190/5300/3400. When I put it in the expansion bay of the 5300 running 8.6 it works fine. When I put it in the 3400 running 9.1, it causes the powerbook to start up only to a gray screen with a black cursor and not start up any further and I have to push the Reset button to shut down.
I have downloaded the Iomega software for OS8.6/9. loaded it, and the problem still occurred.
How can I tell if there is a problem with the connector on the 3400 (as the CD drive works fine) or if there is a software problem affecting this VST zip drive?
