Powerbooks.  One was a 19.2 Global Village PowerPort Mercury and the
other was a 19.2 PowerPort manufactured by Apple.  The hardware was only
half of the modem...in order for the computer to access the modem, the
appropriate software had to be installed.  

I saw that one of the listers indicated a place to get the Global
Village software.  You may need to check Apple for the Apple software...
