Hi last night just to see if i could! . i loaded 9 on my 3400.The specs of it are 144mb ram, 200 cpu 6gb hdd and 12x cd, then xpost facto and a copy of 10.1.
It runs fine a bit slow but fine, the install took about 1 hour total, and i thought that i had missed something on the install because the ethernet does not register in X 10.1 either. is this because the max os for this mac is a OS 9 Limit according to apple. also another thing is the system profiler sees the mac as a G3 200mhz anyone have any thoughts on this please. vicki > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Reply-To: "PowerBooks" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Date: Sat, 28 Aug 2004 19:39:01 +0000 > To: "PowerBooks" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Subject: 9.2.2 on my 3400c > > I used OS9 Helper to install 9.2.2 and I like it, very snappy, reponsive and > definitely a good upgrade, however, when I went from 9.1 I did custom installs > up to 9.2.2, and I ran into a problem, I installed every ethernet extension, > and > none of them let me get online, doesn't even light up the link light on my > cable > modem, however, I formatted back down to 9.0.4, and it came right back up, so > then I got back up to 9.2.2 and tried copying the extensions from 9.0.4 over, > just the ethernet ones, and still nothing.
