Hi, I had managed to get my power troubles worked out. I got a battery that would allow the PowerBook to boot without an A/C adapter and everything seemed fine. I got into class this morning and tried to boot the PowerBook but ended up getting minor drive noise and no boot. I used the reset button. Nothing.
I get back home and plug it into an A/C outlet and it chimes almost immediately but I never get display and the HDD doesn't sound like it is being actively accessed. I look at Apples Tech arcives online and follow the instructions to keep the unit plugged into the A/C adapter and hold down the reset button for 10-20 seconds. I do that and it chimes but does the same thing: no boot. I tried holding down the reset button without a battery or power on and it has no effect. When it is sittig with the drive running doing nothing if I press Command-Option-Reset it simply chimes and continues to sit there with the drive spun up and not doing anything else. Can someone please advise me? Thanks Matt -- PowerBooks is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
