I have had 3 units with this symptom. And I thought just the same. But . . . when measured . . . .the PRAM is good! And so is the powermanger!


Damn the 3400 is a surly beast when it wants to be. Great machine, but the psu design seems a bit flaky.


Don't forget, though, that any all-but-dead battery can still show a fair voltage if you're not applying a load. I still vote for this being the PRAM battery.
